Terms of Service

By using JokeCode Studio ("the site", "the service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What this service is

JokeCode Studio is a toolkit for generating jokes, memes, and humorous code examples using AI providers. It offers a free BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode and an optional paid credit system.

Accounts

When accounts are available, you must provide a valid email address and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person — automated or bulk account creation is prohibited.

BYOK mode

In BYOK mode, you provide your own API keys for AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.). You are responsible for:

• Complying with each provider's terms of service and usage policies
• Any costs incurred on your provider accounts
• Keeping your API keys secure

We encrypt your keys at rest and use them solely to proxy generation requests on your behalf. We are not liable for charges on your provider accounts.

Credit system

Credit packs are one-time purchases. Credits do not expire. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — if you haven't used the credits, we'll generally refund. Used credits are non-refundable.

Credit costs per generation vary by provider and model. The current pricing is displayed before each generation. We reserve the right to adjust credit costs as provider pricing changes, but your purchased credits remain valid.

Generated content

Content generated through JokeCode Studio is produced by third-party AI models. You may use generated content freely, subject to the AI provider's terms. We make no claim of ownership over content you generate.

You are responsible for reviewing generated content before sharing it publicly. AI models may produce content that is inaccurate, offensive, or inappropriate. We are not liable for generated output.

Gallery content

The example gallery showcases curated joke examples. All gallery content is the intellectual property of JokeCode Studio. You may share and link to gallery items. You may not bulk-download or scrape the gallery for AI training without permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to generate illegal, harassing, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, attack, or exploit the service
• Automate requests beyond reasonable personal use
• Resell access to the service or credit packs
• Circumvent rate limits or abuse the API

Violation may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Generation quality depends on third-party AI providers and may vary.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, JokeCode Studio accepts no liability for:

• Content generated by AI models
• Charges incurred on your BYOK provider accounts
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Intellectual property

The JokeCode Studio name, branding, website design, and codebase are our intellectual property. The open-source components are licensed under their respective licences.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
